"Southern Bred" 16" Steel Ring $185.00 This piece came about after listening one of Ian Tyson's songs in the studio while working on another piece. This seems to be the inspiration for quite a few of my new pieces. I guess it's because he paints such clear pictures with his words. My steel art evolved from cutting silhouettes of my drawings to using the steel as a canvas on which to create pictures with the flame of my torch. After being hand cut, I detail each piece, gouging fine detail lines into the steel with the torch. From there rough edges are rounded and shaped and then the finished product is painted with a combination of airbrush and brush acrylic. My steel art is truly original, each is signed and numbered. As far as we know there is no one else in the world that utilizes the detailing technic that I do.
