"Free Lunch" 16" Steel Ring $185.00 From the time I was a kid I have admired the character and mischievous antics of the magpie . While watching them one day at my dog's food bowl it became very obvious just how smart they were. Two would land and eat until Dixie, my border collie, would chase them around the side of the house. Then two more would land from the other way and do the same. One always on guard until they would see her coming and it would play out all over again. This went on for about a 45 minutes until they had her bowl clean and she was plumb worn out. Inspired by this incident and Ian Tyson's song "Magpie" came the drawing "Free Lunch". I freehand cut this piece in 12 ga steel then gouge the details in and airbrush paint it. Each piece is also signed, dated and numbered.
