"First Light"
16" Steel Ring
$195.00
The years I've spent living in rural Idaho, Washington and Alaska have given me
plenty of opportunity to observe and study wildlife in their natural habitats. For this I am truly thankful and I try to bring this out in my art.
My steel art evolved from an idea to cut steel
silhouettes and quickly developed into using steel as a canvas on which to create pictures with the flame of my torch.
After cutting them out, I painstakingly detail each piece, gouging detail lines into the steel with that flame. From there all the rough
edges are rounded and shaped and then the finished product is painted with a combination of airbrush and brush
acrylic.
My steel art is truly original, each is signed and numbered. As far as we know there is no one else in the world that utilizes the detailing technics that I do.
