"Highest Order" 16" Steel Ring $245.00 As resident of Alaska for 15 years, I have spent many days fishing the rivers of Southeast. One of the most awesome sights I was privileged to see was that of the soaring eagle. The opportunity to view them was presented on a daily basis however never was there a greater concentration of these rulers of the sky than during the salmon runs. "Highest Order" was inspired by this magnificent sight. My steel art evolved from an idea to cut steel silhouettes and quickly developed into using steel as a canvas on which to create pictures with the flame of my torch. After cutting them out, I painstakingly detail each piece, gouging detail lines into the steel with that flame. From there all the rough edges are rounded and shaped and then the finished product is painted with a combination of airbrush and brush acrylic. My steel art is truly original, each is signed and numbered. As far as we know there is no one else in the world that utilizes the detailing technics that I do.
